CHRIST HAS CORN IN EGYPT FOR YOU!

Jacob and his 10 sons lived in Canaan, their future Promised Land of milk and honey.  Egypt was just 11 days away.  It was the future evil land one day they would be delivered from, because there they were oppressed and live in slavery.  But before this in the land Egypt, Israel of about 70 souls became a great nation of thousands.  Egypt represents the hard unsaved situations and unsaved people we live with until Christ makes the new heaven and earth.  However, notice that in a time of famine [judgment] on the world because of their sins, [Gen 41:52-57] God prepared corn which stands for food, in Egypt the bad place.  This was because of the sufferings and promotion of Joseph who was faithful to God in his hard life.  And today if we want God’s food that He has for us in Egypt we often have to pay for it by denying ourselves of what we think is best for us.  This is always true of the Church.  We, who follow Christ, are the salt and light for this world to change and find God.  Our suffering for Christ in Egypt makes us intercessors for a dark hungry world that does not understand Christian principles.  [Job 42:10]  Bad situations or experiences are spiritually good for us, in the sense they prove our dedication to Christ.  If we humble ourselves to Christ He will lift us up.  Basically good things come from God and bad things come from the devil.  [Jn 10:10] Yet God at times, permits the devil to do bad things to develop our godly character in Christ, just as an athlete exercises with various weights to increase his physical stamina.  We have to always keep our godly goals of holiness, health, wealth, and personal protection in our attitudes, even in the bad times, for this makes us stronger in Christ, whom we know only by our faith in Him from His Word.  If we humble ourselves to Christ during our various tests, and follow Him, regardless of how hurt we are, we will grow in grace and in the knowledge of God.  Make the decision that God is teaching us the truth about ourselves from both our failures and our successes.  Decide that there are good results from all that we have been through.  Look at God’ potential to bring great good out of where ever we are now, with what little we have today, no matter of the little help we receive from others.  Let’s get our, “corn,” out of Egypt [food, money, prosperity, etc.] that Christ has for us now.  Some people never know what is going on in their lives today and are surprise when the harvest of the seeds they planted sprout.  They spend their lives watching what is happening without connecting their conduct of sowing with the harvest they reap.  A few special people receive God’s Word and make good things happen by their faith, praise, and prayers to God in Christ while rebuking the devil.  Which are you? Ask God in the name of Jesus, for what you need and obey Him.  Seek the answer to your prayers by cooperating with God today.  You shall find a better life in your, “Egypt,” from God today!  Stop whatever is wrong and do right!
