Scripture verses:
Job 28:12, 23, 28; 1 Cor 1:28-31
Actually, if we are honest, all believers are a little of both. We haveChrist who is God’s Wisdom in our spirits or hearts but we have foolishness or carnality in our flesh. [1Jn 1:6-10] Therefore, this question above is the same as asking ourselves, “Am I obeying Christ or do I ignore Him and follow the pleasures of my sinful flesh? Am I sick taking a lot of medication or am I healthy, with strength and energy? Am I prosperous or am I poor in debt and unable to buywhat I want? Am I safe, or do I live in danger all of the time and unprepared for my future? Does my life have good direction or am I confused? Do I have some good relationships or am I painfully alone? Am I spiritually strong or am I spiritually weak, thinking of giving up or running away? Have I a joyful attitude right now or do I live in fear of each new day expecting something evil to happen?”
The answers to these questions reveal how much we operate in godly wisdom. Yet, one situation is not a reflection of our entire lives. Bad events can happen to good people, just as good things can happen to bad people but the bad attacks of Satan, are defeated by the faith, hope and love of God’s children, if they examine themselves. [1Cor 3:28-31] God will do everything He promised us if we humbly get, proud “SELF,” out of God’s way and wait on the Lord’s season for us. [Eccl 3:1] Our greed is our problem. [Jer 45:2-5]
The daily harvests we have in all areas of our lives reveal the good or bad seeds we have planted in them. That is why; Christians shall be judged and rewarded accordingly after they get to heaven, todetermine if their conduct was like gold, silver, diamonds or wood, hay, and stubble. [1Cor 3:11-15] Salvation from sin and our entranceto heaven is by faith in Christ dying on the cross for our sins and living now in heaven to intercede for us. What we have on earthbefore then comes mostly from what we believe, do and say. [Mk 9:23] We should pray and believe Christ about everything but it is very important to have corresponding actions for what we desire. [Jas 2:14-26] So God’s wisdom is vital.
Godly Wisdom is unselfish. It humbly listens to Christ, [1Cor 1:29-31] and avoids fellowship with evil. Christians are in the world but not of the world. Every benefit and blessing Christ died and rose again for me to have is now available in me if I deny myself for Him. [Phil 3:8-15] God will finish whatever He’s started me to do. [1Pet 3:8-15] Greater is Christ in me than the problems I face. [1Jn 4:4; 2:15] I love not the sinful world I am in, and stand with the Lord. His longsuffering is my salvation. I wait on others as He waits on me to grow in grace, overcome Satan’s obstacles and build His godliness in the special task Christ has assigned me. I am born to win. [2 Cor 5:17-21]
